Each fabric we use is carefully selected by Pia, primarily for it's quality, design, and handfeel, but also for it's ethical credentials.
We only use Peace Silk, also known as Ahimsa silk, which is a method of silk production designed to avoid harming or killing silkworms. Instead of boiling or steaming cocoons to harvest a continuous thread, it allows the silkworm to fully mature into a moth and emerge naturally before the silk is collected.
Our supplier's regenerative farming methods protect biodiversity, reduce resource usage, and promote healthier ecosystems. By eliminating harmful chemicals, their zero-impact production delivers luxurious fabrics that meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
Cupro is a breathable, silky-smooth "regenerated cellulose" fabric made from cotton linter—the ultra-fine, un-spinnable fibers attached to cotton seeds. Often called "vegan silk," it mimics the luxurious drape and feel of natural silk. Cupro has a soft, buttery texture with a subtle, elegant sheen. It is moisture-wicking and hypoallergenic.
Our supplier uses Bemberg™ Cupro, which is manufactured using a closed-loop process that captures and recycles the heavy chemicals required to produce it.
- Embellished tulle - from TBC
We use a range of embroidered, sequinned, and beaded polyester tulle within our designs. Although we'd prefer not to use plastic-based materials, we find synthetic fibre tulle is best option to support heavy embellishments and prevent snags.
